All courses are open to all ages and have been designed to be delivered at three levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced)
Courses are delivered by qualified teachers and timings are negotiable by group size and availability.
Recording and Studio Techniques Night school course. (NCFE accreditation)
10wks (2.5 hours per session/ 1 per week)
A general course taking the student through all aspects of production and working in the studio. The course makes use of our Raindirk Console series III desk, and will prepare the student for working with Pro Tools in a professional studio environment with a large mixing desk. The course will also develop transferable skills for other sequencing software such as Cubase.
Introductory – Advanced levels available
Music Software Training
10wks (2.5 hours per session/ 1 per week)
A music software course that looks into using all of today’s current musical applications from industry standard Pro Tools to Cubase, Logic and Ableton Live. This ten week course looks at recording audio and sequencing within all software available. From week five onwards, the student can choose to specialise in their preferred application.
Beginner to Intermediate
Songwriting
10wks (2.5 hours per session/ 1 per week)
The Paddocks Studio is the ideal location to discuss song writing. Examine the structure of songs, and exchange lyric, melody and chord ideas with a group of likeminded musicians in a creative atmosphere.
Songwriters signed to Universal and Ministry of Sound, and guest writers are on hand to lead the course.

Mixing
6wks (2.5 hours per session/ 1 per week)
A six week course giving you the opportunity to develop mixing skills and techniques including EQ, compression, panning and effects. This course focusing on aspects of production that comes in every studio session including: vocals; drums (acoustic and loops); and guitars.
Beginner to Intermediate
Music Mastering
6wks (2.5 hours per session/ 1 per week)
Our 6 week course on the ‘dark art’ of mastering lead by industry professionals helps you add the polish your mixes need. ‘Music Mastering’ focuses on Limiting, Multiband Compression, EQ and Spectrum Analysis. We also look at how best to prepare your existing mixes for dedicated mastering houses and engineers.
Beginner to Intermediate
Introduction to Music Technology
4 wks (2.5 hours per session/ 1 per week)
This is the perfect course to prepare your self for a BTEC or degree in music tech. We take you through a crash course in Music Technology giving you the start you need to get ahead in the competition. As with all Paddocks Courses you will have the opportunity to see an operational studio at work and have a solid base from which to build your new career.
Beginner
Vocal Coaching and Vocal Studio Technique
10 wks (2.5 hours per session/ 1 per week)
Have the chance to not only take vocal lessons from seasoned professionals but learn about techniques you can put to use in the studio, and learn how to get the most out of your studio time. The course covers warm-ups and the knowledge you need to keep your focus in a professional studio.

Vocal Audition Preparation
4 wks (2.5 hours per session/ 1 per week)
A crash course to get you prepared for forthcoming auditions. These sessions not only cover musical aspects of your audition but give structured focus to your confidence, diet and attitude towards your judges.

DJ Skills level 1
4 wks (2.5 hours per session/ 1 per week)
Get your hands on the wheels of steel and learn how to mix it up, mash it up and rinse it! This is not home economics people, it is mixing music – giving you the skills to pay dem bills… so get signed up!
